jumped on to work on some tunes and out of the blue, my legit legal copy of Reason 4 is asking me to agree to a EULA and insists I install the Reason 4 DVD disc. I'm not really in the mood for digging through my boxed up bassment and cutting open cardboard boxes to search for it right now. This happened out of the blue, no changes to the system, no installations of Reason 5 beta, nothing... it was working fine this morning, and this evening no go. I can't even find information on google because every damn post is about using cracked versions of the program.
my "favorite" thing in the world is to be punished for being a legitimate customer.
very disappointed right now :/
*update* so I did some more digging through the propellerheads users forum and discovered that this can sometimes happen when Reason detects major changes in your file structure (such as moving around refills), and it asks for the installation disc as a check to make sure a hacked copy has not been installed.
I did indeed re-organize my refills a week ago, but what I don't understand is that it's all on the same computer as before. Why would moving file structure signify a hacked installation? shouldn't Reason tie itself to your motherboard chip ID?
I'm a big proponent of paying for the software that you use, but to be honest, it would be easier for me to install a hacked copy of reason right now than it will be to go through all the boxes I havent opened yet from the move!

Reason 4.0 pretty much asks me for the Disc nearly every week. I asked over at the Props forums and no one even bothered to respond. It's getting annoying as as hell, as I always have to have the DVD nearby. I wish they just dongled it - so I could forget about this.
@Shawn
I used to have the same problem with my Reason 2.5 disc, then I had to download some minor patch version update and it was fixed. That said, I installed Reason 4.0 and never upgraded to the 4.01 patch and it works fine on my end, until I change the structure of my refills....
