Galaxian - End of Forever - Doppelganger

Glasgow producer Galaxian has this way of texturing and layering in his music that I honestly haven't heard since the legendary Jiri.Ceiver was releasing music on Harthouse in the 90s.

On this 7 track EP in particular, released in 2009 on Doppelganger Records, Galaxian knock's it out of the park with his unique take on throbbing-modulation glitched-out liquid electro music. Rather than smacking you off your feet and storming your senses, these cuts wrap themselves around you and get into your head. They move and breathe, and of course they knock sub-woofers.

I've made no qualms about the fact I really dig it when producers take it to the next level, and expand the music outside of the boundaries of a particular genre. 'The End of Forever' EP does just that. - this music is equal parts floor and headphones. Is it electro? Is it techno? I think it's a mixture of both, and done right. Good stuff, and recommended.

My picks: 'Strange Brain', 'Swipe' and 'I Can Do Anything'

If you dig it, you can purchase the limited edition compact disc here. Don't sleep.
