The Other People Place - Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café - Warp Re-Issue

After I got over the jones of wanting prime time slots when I was actively DJing, I learned to love and even request the closing sets - when everyone was faded, mellow, the sun was coming up... you got to play brilliant music like the cuts off this re-issue from The Other People Place, 'Lifestyles of the Laptop Cafe' off of Warp Records. There's one or two spots in this LP that fall flat for my ears, but this CD get's my money. And of course, it's from the Drexciya/Arpanet/Japanese Telecom/Elecktroids/WhoReallyProducedThis camp, which always makes for interesting guess work. My picks: 'It's Your Love', 'Lifestyles of the Casual', and the most brilliant relaxing grooves of 'Sunrays'.
