Last night I headed down to a meeting of the Front Range Electronic Music Producers Group. (for those in the area, I recommend you join our mailing list group and attend some of the meetings, which are held at Denver University currently)
Dave Alex did a presentation showcasing the GenoQs Black Sea Edition Octopus midi sequencer. This machine was truly mind-blowing, and as is the usual at the F.r.e.m.u.g meetings, I got a lot of great idea's for my own studio techniques and productions by seeing how Dave worked the Octopus (tied to Ableton Live in this case): I usually only use the sequencer devices in my own software studio when i'm travelling or setting up virtual 909 and 303 clones, but last night my eyes were opened to a very different way of producing music as compared to my own technique. good stuff!
You can see the GenoQs Octopus in action below, and read more here.
