Gruppe 909 live performance

several years ago, I and the homie Lex Luthor did a live PA under our Gruppe 909 pseudonym. Below is a short clip that shows the intro from that set. Unfortunately we weren't forward thinking enough in setting up a dedicated cam to record the show, but thanks to one of the old PTLF DJ members who had a digital camera, we have this.

We'd been dabbling in the studio for a while, and when PTLF put on their final 12th event in 2005, they asked us to do a performance. We jammed over a period of two months to wrap up existing electro bass tunes, made some new ones and did this performance. We were using a Roland JP-8080, two midi controller keyboards, an access Virus A and Ableton Live. These songs have been languishing in the hard drives since then, but we're a few cuts away from releasing them on Vocode Records.

Lex moved to California last year, so our in-person dynamic duo days have mostly come to an end, but its nice to look back on some of the good work we were able to do when still in the studio together along with with our 3rd partner.
