on creative process and flow

you know, since I've started messing around with HobNox Audiotool, I've realized how quickly I can develop funky grooves just with a 909 and 303 emulation, and some special effects routing. Pattern based programming really is inducive to quick workflow, and honestly I've forgotten about it.

I get so caught up trying to build grooves using the keyboard and trying to be a musician, I forget about just letting things flow from the funk. I'm going to try to incorporate more pattern based quick idea's in my next studio sessions and see where they take me.. while Audio Tool is a lot of fun, the limitations in it make it difficult to get a final output for further production (such as: save project). hey maybe thats a big one eh?
