I recently had a dream that my studio build was complete, and I sat down and started making music with keyboards again. I think this a sign of a deep-seated subconscious desire to have the set up done... although I will say being forced to do laptop only production has changed my sound somewhat, which has been fun as well.
I've got a couple of releases waiting to go for the label, but I'm also spending some time thinking about the way I want to approach and get my music out there. I'm having second thoughts about the netlabel scene and free music, and it has nothing to do with wanting to make money off tunes, but rather the sense of "value" that a piece of music holds. I'm sick with some flu bug so I won't ramble, but I will expound on my thoughts on this at a later date.
here are the tunes I submitted for the PAD challenge, the techno groover is an original, the dnb tune is a remix of Robbneu's track. Caveat: neither is mastered or finished, and they won't be until I get my studio back up. I've learned you can't mix in headphones, at least not the ones I'm currently using :)
