This DJ thought she had an exclusive

Back around 2004, I and my partner-in-crime from the Vocode Project Lex Luthor were running an electro night in Denver. We usually had a variety of guest DJs pop by, mostly because we liked to kick it and sip a few beers. Rockin' the turntables is hard work, don't you know? ;)

On this particular night, we had a young female DJ (who shall remain nameless) who was 18 years old and determined to show the world she was the dopest, as most young DJs are apt to do. The beats were rockin', and both of us started nodding our heads as she slipped in a fantastic record. We were both surprised that she even knew of the record in the first place, so we slid over and I gave her props on dropping it.

She looked at me. She looked at Lex. And with full DJ swagger, she pointed to the record on the platter, showcasing it was a white label. Then she proceeded, with full force, to say the words "White Label, Bitch" and curled her lips at us.

Now I believe with all my heart, she really really thought she had one over on us, and that she was dropping the illest exclusive in the world, and that we, as the elder old-school DJs were out of the loop because we couldn't get access to such dope records.

Mind you this wasn't a remix of the record. IT WAS THE ORIGINAL.

The record in question? Enjoy this "white label"
