| What a great view into the old school world of hip hop, with the great Jazzy Jay and immortal Africa Bambatta making a rare television appearance and showing the audience how to DJ. To put it in perspective, Jazzy Jay and Africa Bambatta are in their 50s now; look how young they look in this video, it's incredible - back when hip hop was young and hungry and rife with talent. Check out the picture versus the video... it's been a few years eh? The presenter doesn't quite know what to make of this DJ'ing presentation, and you can tell they don't quite know what to make of themselves being up there, and it's pure television magic without being scripted. For me old school hip hop is EPMD anD Big Daddy Kane - these guys are the real old school, raw, real deal no doubt! Sharp spotters will note the record they're using to show the young lady how to scratch is the classic breakbeat that marks Run DMC's 'Sucker MCs', and of course the backbone of numerous drum n bass classics.
