214 - Prescriptions Don't Plug In To Anything - Digital Distortions

I remember years ago when I was actively DJing every weekend and I lived and breathed that record box, one of the main stay's in my gig crate was two copies of an incredible Cari Lekebusch electro vinyl release. The name escapes me, but what I dug most about the record was the perfect mesh of techno and electro - it was glitchy, but not like the plug-in's most cats are using today, it was Tresor, Detroit bunkers, it was future business that still sounds fresh today.

That's a long-winded intro, but the words flowed from me immediately when I tuned in to this release by 214 'Prescriptions Don't Plug Into Anything', out on Digital Distortion records. This EP is that sound - electro, techno, future, glitch without being glitch - it's got the funk factor, it's got the deep synths for head.phon headz, it's got the bass. Recommended.
