Microslav - PWM Is The New Cutoff - Shameless Toady

The fourth cut in the Big Up Basslines guest mix comes from Microslav off of Pip Williams Shameless Toady label. I chose 'Deep Night Communications' because the percussion elements and bassline on this cut are the definition of 'move your body' to quote the Marshall Jefferson classic - in the mix, I tease the melody a bit, but mostly keep the percussion and bassline looped up since this mix was more for the floor and jack-dancing.

Of note, the record opens up with a wierd acidy lick that stands on its own two feet as a dope element - so I looped it for a bit before dropping into the track from the previous Dexter track. It's going in the samples folder for use in future mixes as well - love finding little gems like this!

Shameless Toady as a whole is on that "release only quality stuff" tip, and you can tell the label head is spending time curating what's released on his label - discretion build reputation as they say.
