50 Weapons is fast becoming one of my favorite record labels. The new four tracker from Addison Groove 'Adventures in Rainbow Country' gets the standard City of Bass "silly name, dope music" comment. With that out of the way, you've got bass heavy DJ work records on the first two cuts, but it's the last two that are outstanding.
'Oversize Clip' has got this great jazzy two step feel to it, but DAMN when that bass hits. 'Melody Maker' follows up with jazzy Detroit techno/house chords with a scattershot bass electro pattern that just works it puts it down and reverses it. Lovely, recommended and available in digital format or on vinyl.
