[Electro Vinyl] Pip Williams - Mode#7 - Brokntoys

Without gassing him up too much, Pip Williams has a definite mastery of production - by that I mean a mix of technical skills that make his tracks pop and that ever elusive kopfnicken factor. The juice that has him embedding his cuts with warm analogue goodness along with the ability to make records sound melancholy and hopeful all at the same time. This is the magic elixer that makes Pip Williams one of the stand outs among today's electro scene.

Everybody's afraid to say it or they're lost in hero worship, but I'm personally much more amped about an artist pushing electro into new territories than I am about Dopplerefekt and Anthony Rother rehashing their old formula for 2013. No shots intended, but the brand new sound is whats going to carry electro forward, not the electro equivalent of jungle's Amen break.
This deliciously 4 track slice of electronic goodness comes via Brokntoys, and is limited to a quantity of 200, which you can order this here. Recommended.
