my wife recently dug up my old mini-disc walkman device, and I popped in a battery and sure enough, it works without a hitch. This immediately put into mind my current dilemma of wanting to sample movies when we watch DVDs as a family - fundage is tight so buying new equipment isn't an option, and with this mini-disc walkman, I can now use my mini-disc deck that I used to record DJ mixes onto in the living room to sample, and walk the disc over to the studio and get the sample back into my daw.

Are there easier ways of doing this? Sure? But is it fun using obsolete equipment in modern day productions? Hell yes!
