alchemist on the akai

its interesting to me - theres no real way to "fake" the traditional hip hop vibe witout chopping samples and making beats like this. I've always wanted to try it out with my m-audio trigger finger, but I cant get my head around exactly how they do it. my midi mapping is all across the board, but also does he layer samples ahead of time and then assign them to each pad? very interesting.....
