computing power. I have none

I've been putting this off for the longest time, because frankly I prefer to spend my money on the bimmer, the pending motorcycle and software purchases.. but after trying to install the Beta version of Propellerheads Record (and topped with issues with VSTs I own), I'm finally caving in.

I don't trust Windows Vista, I prefer the least amount of hassle when transfering over my audio computer to the new one, so the choice for me is coming down to

a) a new Dell with Windows XP
b) a new macintosh

time to do some research....
