last week, two of the current "hot" albums in hip hop leaked, almost back to back. I don't know much about the inner working of digital distribution, but I find it hard to understand why they didn't scramble to officially release the albums immediately after the leak occured. Sure, I know people download music with abandon, but I know there's still a lot of folks who prefer purchasing an official copy and supporting the artist - how hard can it be to pull the switch and launch the itunes/rhapsody/amazon versions?
As a matter of fact, Jay-Z's album did get pushed up to 09/08.. but only on Rhapsody...
