steering from the mouse

now that I have the full 88 key controller, I'm tossing the idea around of creating a custom combinator within reason, that will encompass the usual array of instruments that I use in creating a track, with the combi split up among them in some semblence of order that makes sense to me. The theory is, once I load up some sounds into the modules, I can build a track without having to touch the mouse. I find my creativity flowing much more when I'm not constantly piddling around with the computer mouse. I'm going to give this a try this weekend and see if it works out for me in terms of production process.
